Co-Opp is currently a community of gamers and ex-gamers who have an affiliation with clan ohnd, mcsA or mcOhnD! clan ohnd and mcsA are primarily tied to Counter Strike: Source, whilst mcOhnD! is an amalgamation of both clans for other games such as Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4. First came clan ohnd and mcsA...In the beginning there was only clan ohnd and sA with no Co-Opp and no mcOhnD!clan ohndclan ohnd began with 6 members under the name [VIP] (Very Important People). After receiving many requests to join [VIP] a decision was made to start a ‘real’ clan under the tag of ohnd. This was the beginning and ohnd then went ‘official’ by joining the GameArena Counter Strike: Source ladder in March of 2005. mcsAsA or Sing Alongs did this and that. sA later merged with casual Counter Strike: Source Clan MCD (May Cause Drowsiness) creating what is now known as mcsA (May Cause Sing Alongs). mcsA then merged with another casual Counter Strike: Source TMP creating the clan it is known for today. Much like clan ohnd mcsA have recruited many and lost hardly any, they only have long-time inactive players.
Then came Co-Opp...It was this close bond that led to the formation of Co-Opp, a decision made by mcsA leader Fr00ty T00ty and clan ohnd d3vian7. The decision involved not a merger between the two clans, but a sharing of resources and a larger, closer community which optimized the use of services for both clans.
Then mcOhnD!...With the release of Team Fortress 2 in late 2007 another party in the Co-Opp community was formed under the name of mcOhnD! (mc(sA) + OhnD!). A title decided in a group meeting between leaders and community. mcOhnD! formed a TF2 team soon after from members of clan ohnd and mcsA who wanted to play casually and on the GameArena ladder. Soon after the TF2 team was established mcOhnD! developed a Call of Duty 4 team with the release of that game. Since then, mcOhnD! has recruited non-ohnd or mcsA players into the community. |
